Temples:

Wat Chalong:
Wat Chai Tararam, or Wat Chalong, is the most popular temple in Phuket. Built in 1837, a recent additon to the temple is a 61.4-meter high chedi containing the Phra Borom Sareerikatat relic, a piece of Buddha’s bones brought over from Sri Lanka. Combining the architectural styles from the Southern, Central and Northeastern Thailand, the chedi is the first in this region to house this holy relic.

Wat Phra Nahng Sahng:
This well-respected, interesting temple of the Province is located on the site of an important battle, fought against Burma in 1785. It is home to three magnificent Buddha images that rate among the largest in the world.
These astonishing monuments are made from tin, a metal that was once considered semi-precious. Within the stomach of each Buddha, you will notice the smaller, more intricate statuettes known as the Three Kings.

Calypso Divers-Scuba Diving:
Established in 1990, the aim of this company is to provide the widest range and highest quality diving instruction, along with personalized service and a friendly atmosphere. The main shop at Kata Beach is a PADI dive centre that offers a full range of courses. Day dive trips comprise two or three dives, or try the unique overnight Phi Phi Islands special, with seven dives over a weekend. Tarzan Jungle Bungee Jump:
Located seven kilometers from town, this is Phuket's only bungee site. Opened in 1992, it has proved extremely popular to fearless souls from all over the world who wish to hurl themselves off the 50-meter tower to the turquoise waters beneath. For those who prefer to take someone else with them as they hurtle towards the earth, pair jumping is on offer. You must be physically fit to undertake this hair-raising adventure, but you will be fully insured as you take your leap of faith.

Surasak Fishing Tour:
Phuket is a top game fishing destination in Asia and Surasak's experienced captains know some of the best places to experience this. Its large fleet of fully outfitted boats will take you to waters where Marlin, Barracuda, Sailfish and Rainbow Runner are just a fishing hook away. Charters include all equipment, rods, reels, drop lines, bait and lures. For something a bit different, night shark fishing offers the possibility of catching Tiger Sharks weighing over 250 kilograms.

Museum :

Sea Shell Museum:
Located near Rawai Beach on the island's southwestern shores. The emphasis is on shells from Thai waters, which are among the most sought-after by collectors, however shells from every part of the world are featured. There are numerous rarities and freaks including the world's largest golden pearl (140 karats), large sections of sedimentary rock containing shell fossils, and a shell that weighs 250 kilograms.

Thalang Museum:
Located on Pa Khlok Road, to the east of the Two Heroines Monument, this museum gives an insight into Phuket's colorful history. There are numerous artifacts, and an exhibit depicting the famous battle of Thalang showing the part played by two sisters, Kuhnying Jan (or Thao Thep Kasatri) and Thao Sri Suntorn, who succeeded in repulsing the attacking Burmese army. There are also artifacts depicting details of early, everyday life on the island and cultural aspects of the "Sea Gypsies."

Phuket Aquarium:
This aquarium, at the extreme end of Sakdidet Road, features wonderful displays of both saltwater and freshwater fish. It is here that local experts also hatch and breed young sea turtles for release into the sea. This is an important part of the work of the aquarium since the turtles are an endangered species. This is also Thailand's major marine biological research station, undertaking work on tropical reef ecosystems, commercial fisheries, and other related projects.

Phuket Zoo:
Located a few kilometers south of Phuket Town, on the road to Chalong, this Zoo, set in 25 acres of verdant gardens, will be loved by children and adults alike. The large collection of animals and reptiles includes tigers, ostriches, emus and camels, 5,000 crocodiles, 60 species of bird and more than 100 species of butterfly. Crocodile wrestling performances and elephant and monkey shows occur throughout the day, and elephant rides are bound to amuse the kids. Light meals and refreshments are available or take a picnic lunch.
